CHAMPAGNE SUPERNOVA IN THE SKY
Thursday, September 7

dinner today with 4 other guys was mightily (not because of their muscles) interesting. it allowed me to take a peek into a guy's mind, and see things at their perspective. it's amazing how the hormonal makeup of a male/female propels them towards certain mindsets. Stereotypical, i know, but still it's evident. and today, ian asked us why do utopias lead to dystopias. the oppression of creative individualism which is an imperative for economic growth results in a stagnant world. complacency that everything is perfect, and the absence in the desire to continually improve and achieve a higher level of advancement slows the system down and turns it into a reverse. somehow like the inhabitants in The Time Machine who appear childlike and mentally undeveloped despite going into the future! and it's a bit like karma, what goes around comes around. everything would be like a vicious cycle, forward, backward, and back to the same point again. another thing i realised today was the degree of Meritocracy in the society we live in. we often pride ourselves for giving equal opportunities and allowing the poor to step out of their poverty zone. but i wonder what goes behind the scenes, and if certain initiatives are already pre-chosen. doesnt that showcase a disparity in Meritocracy? oh, the army sounds fun :D ahh, i enjoy such engaging conversations! i wish i had the power to spin my thoughts into words and string it into sentences and paragraphs! feel so handicapped! ):

i think that Freud's psychoanalytic concept of the unconscious mind being a reservior for repressed memories which continue to haunt the conscious thought and mind is super interesting!
Freud thought he understood the nature of schizophrenia. It is not a brain disorder, but a disturbance in the unconscious caused by unresolved feelings of homosexuality.
hahaha, like wth!
i feel so excited to research into Dreams now! teehee! :D
